What would the best version of my self do?
I just saw a re-tweet that had originated with The Minimalists that made me do a double take and a re-think.
‘What would the best version of myself do?”
Now to be honest, I’m not sure that I consult the best version of myself that often and this unfortunately leads to eating too much chocolate when it’s on offer.
I had a bit of a set back weekend in terms of food and I am pretty sure that I didn’t once consider what the ‘best’ version of myself would do. Maybe that’s the issue.
On the other hand, the best version of myself increased her exercise type and quantity this weekend and was a fantastically supportive parent at the kids’ sports event.
So maybe we are always the best version of ourselves in some ways.
Like many moments of clarity, I am now considering that maybe I should be asking this question more frequently when faced with tasty treats. What would the ‘best’ version of myself do?
What’s confronting is that I suspect the ‘best’ version of myself still eats way more chocolate that she should.
